If you appreciate jazz piano, you'll enjoy this presentation by Johnny Todd. Originoally from Australia, Johnny has been active on the international music scene for many years. As a jazz pianist, composer, musical director, studio musician, and teacher,he has worked extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, and of course his native Australia. Although a long time resident of Honolulu, Hawaii where he has played a very active part on the musical and entertainment scene, Johnny can be found nevertheless performing frequently on major television, radio, and international concert venues from New York to Tokyo.

Wherever he performs, the audience is always amazed at his artistry and full command of the piano. The level of appreciation rises as he steps over that performance threshold which defines virtuosity.

Johnny is accompanied by two veteran jazz musicians on this CD. Bassist John Kolivas, a native of Honolulu, left the islands at an early age to become an active musician on the New York scene. He recently returned to Hawaii where he is currently enjoying great appreciation for both his jazz artistry and his activity in the classical arena as a member of the Honolulu Symphony.

Drummer Sonny Froman, originally from Pennsylvania, is a longtime resident of Honolulu. He is a percussionist par excellance, and with his reputation as an immaculate "time keeper," can be found performing in all kinds of venues, from jazz festivals to classical concerts.

"White Lotus" incluces a mix of original compositions as well as some popular standards in both solo and trio arrangements. With his talented sidemen, Johny has created an excellent concert on disc.
