次期Mac Pro向けに、11月にリリースされる予定のコードネーム“Penryn” - Xeon X5482を、Appleが買い占めている、という噂。

Apple looks set to pinch all Intel's top-bin Penryns - The INQUIRER:
So, the rumour says that Apple pretty much pre-booked all the amounts of top Penryn bins that could be booked for this year - especially the X548“.

まぁ、Penrynを搭載したモデルが出るのは既定だとしても、年内にモデルチェンジしてくるのかなぁ〜。個人的な予想では、年明けのMacWORLD EXPOで、色々と発表されるんじゃないかなぁ〜、と思ってるんだけど・・・。
